Hopefully these answers provide the information you need.

Do I have to be a club member to ski?  

No.  As long as you pay the trail pass fee, you are welcome to ski the trails and use the facilities.

Is the Day Lodge open all day?

There is no regular opening for the day lodge.   Members who have keys open the day lodge when they need to and will close it when they are done unless it is obvious to them that someone else is on the trail and needs access to the day lodge.   A member may purchase a key for the season to access the cabin for $5.   A non-member may borrow a day lodge key for a deposit of $10 plus the cost of a trail pass.   Keys are obtained from Country Wide Printing & Stationary in Houston, BC.

Can I bring my dog on the trails?

Dog are welcome on the designated dog trail only.   Do not allow your dog to run on the staging area or other trails.  Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog.   Please read the dog trail policy.

Is there a grooming report?

The club has an email that updates interested people when grooming is completed.   To register contact grooming@xcskimoricemtn.com

Weather at the MMNSC

Are there skis to rent?

Yes.   If you are a club member, there is no charge for your use.

If you are not a member the cost is $2 per item.   A pair of skis, poles and boots will cost $6.   The ski library is located in the Day Lodge.

We want to ski at night.  How do we turn on the lit trail?

The switch for the lights is located on the SE corner of the groomer shed.   Just follow the sign located on the woodshed beside the groomer shed.    Press the green button.  The lights go out automatically for the night at 10pm.

Can we use the Day Lodge for a Social?

Members can use the Day Lodge for social events such as potlucks, birthday parties, etc.   This is not an exclusive use and other members may access the Day Lodge for warming and to access the ski library.

 

Please note that during Skill Development Lessons, the participants in this program have the run of the day lodge and kitchen so please do not try setting up for your social event until after 3:30 pm on lesson days.

 

To book the Day Lodge exclusively for your group costs $50 per evening (4pm onwards).  If you want a private party or the event will charge an admission it will fall under an exclusive use arrangement with the ski club.  Direct questions to info@xcskimoricemtn.com
